How This Flight Finder Works

Searching one site at a time is slow, and no single site shows every airline or fare. This tool takes your route, dates, travelers and cabin and builds prefilled searches on Google Flights, Skyscanner and Kayak, so you can compare in minutes. Passenger counts and filters can be adjusted on each site. We do not store your trip details.

7 Ways to Find Cheaper Flights

  • Be flexible with dates. Moving a trip by a day or two can change the fare noticeably. Check a few options.
  • Compare nearby airports. A different airport in the same metro area can have lower fares, so weigh ground transport costs.
  • Book in a sensible window. Many travelers find better prices booking domestic trips roughly one to three months ahead and international trips two to six months ahead. This varies by route and season.
  • Look at the total price. Basic fares often exclude carry-on or checked bags and seat selection, so compare the full cost.
  • Use price alerts. Most search sites can email you when a fare for your route changes.
  • Consider one-way combinations. Sometimes two one-way tickets on different airlines cost less than a round trip.
  • Check the airline’s own site before you book, since some fares and perks are only listed there.

Rules differ by airline, so read the fare conditions before you pay. In the U.S., the Department of Transportation requires airlines to refund passengers when a flight is canceled or significantly changed and the traveler chooses not to fly, and it has a 24-hour cancellation rule for many tickets booked directly with the airline. Check current rules for your situation.
